Hosted iTrent solution reduces registered charity's risks and carbon emissions
Acorns Children's Hospice Trust is set to benefit from a fully managed payroll service after signing a five year contract with MidlandHR. Having gone live in August this year, Acorns Childrens Hospice Trust's service has been implemented using the payroll portion of iTrent, MidlandHR's complete web-based HR, payroll and talent management solution.
By adopting a hosted payroll service, Acorns Children's Hospice Trust will pass on full responsibility for infrastructure, support, disaster recovery, maintenance, security, upgrades and more to ensure that Acorns 400 staff, spread across three hospices, in Birmingham, Walsall and Worcester, 43 retail outlets and a Community Team, get paid on time, every time.
Commenting on the new partnership, Acorn's Head of Finance, Kevin Kearney said, "With our incumbent supplier giving notice to withdraw the fully managed payroll service, we wanted a replacement supplier to build upon and improve our existing service level. It was crucial that the new supplier had an excellent track record in payroll and pensions in the healthcare sector.
"Once four software suppliers were shortlisted, the deciding factor was MidlandHR's ability to deliver comprehensive payroll process efficiency gains and increased security protocols through complete integration, thereby enabling seamless, end to end processing."
Commenting on the contract, MidlandHR's managing director, Lawrence Knowles said, "Knowing that the entire payroll process is entrusted to MidlandHR, Acorns can continue to do what they do best – offering nursing care and a network of support to children who have life threatening illnesses and their families across the heart of England. Furthermore, by utilising the zero footprint iTrent solution as a fully managed hosted service, Acorns Children’s Hospice Trust will also reduce risks and carbon emissions."
