MidlandHR has been awarded the Payroll Quality Partnership (PQP) accreditation from the Institute of Payroll Professionals (IPP). MidlandHR is one of the first ten organisations to be accredited for recognising best practice in payroll professional development having met stringent PQP standards in providing compliant and efficient payroll services.
Declan McGrath, operations director of MidlandHR comments: “Being one of the first organisations to receive this prestigious award is a tremendous achievement. MidlandHR proactively supports the professional development of its payroll professionals including payroll administrators, senior payroll administrators, team leaders and managers – with a view to implementing and maintaining the very best payroll processes and standards of practice.
"This recognition is a true validation that our people and their high level of professional skill and knowledge, which helps us to provide the best possible service for our customers.
Lindsay Melvin, chief executive of the IPP and member of the PQP assessment panel adds: "MidlandHR has shown commitment to its payroll team and overall service to its clients which has led it to being one of the first 10 organisations to be awarded with the PQP accreditation. The IPP is working hard towards raising the profile and standing of payroll as a profession, and with the achievement of organisations such as MidlandHR this will become possible."
The PQP accreditation was introduced in July 2007 to provide a standard for professional development in payroll. It encourages organisations to maintain professional competence whilst enhancing and developing payroll skills and knowledge. To achieve the standard, MidlandHR went through a rigorous assessment of its induction, appraisal and development processes, incorporating a written application and site visits.
