Sussex Downs College switches to MidlandHR in long term contract

Sussex Downs College has switched payroll and HR system provider, signing a long term contract with MidlandHR. The College aims to have payroll and core HR functions up and running by April 2007 and will then roll out other HR modules including training, recruitment and absence management over time.
"We liked the flexibility and comprehensive functionality of MidlandHR’s Trent system, especially the fact that it enables us to compile centralised HR reports from across our various campuses," says Lindsay Boniface, cross college HR manager at Sussex Downs College. “Most importantly though, we really clicked with the people at MidlandHR and felt that we’d be well looked after and supported by the company. I foresee us developing a strong, long-term partnership in the years to come."
A key requirement for Sussex Downs College was a system that could handle the compulsory submission of Staff Individualised Records (SIR) returns to the Learning and Skills Council, which include statistical information about all employees. The College found the process time consuming as data is needed from several sources. The Trent system is able to pull data from disparate locations to automate the completion of the SIR returns, and will greatly reduce the time spent on these in the HR department.
Lawrence Knowles, Managing Director at MidlandHR comments: "MidlandHR is dedicated to Lifetime Service Excellence. We look forward to working in partnership with the College to develop and enhance their Payroll and HR solution over the next 10 years and beyond."
