Single web-based solution will streamline and simplify HR and payroll.
NCH, the children’s charity is embarking on a transformation of HR and payroll processes for its 6,500 employees by implementing iTrent, MidlandHR’s web-enabled, single HR and payroll solution. Moving to a single automated payroll and HR system with iTrent is part of a comprehensive change management programme to reduce costs and better support the children, young people and families that NCH works with. The full iTrent implementation will be completed by December 2009
Previously, the charity had two separate systems for HR and payroll, but with iTrent, information that previously had to be inputted twice by HR staff will be done just once, and directly by managers, freeing up time for the HR department to focus on proactive, strategy driven processes. The automation of laborious tasks will also greatly reduce data entry errors, limiting business risk and ultimately improving service quality.
John Appleby, Project Manager, Personnel and Payroll System from NCH comments: “We realised that having two separate HR and Payroll systems was not only time consuming but not the best use of our resources. Having to input information more than once also meant that there was a higher risk of error. Being a web-enabled, single solution will bring us many benefits not least cost reduction; for example, it is a far more cost effective approach to monitoring absence and distributing payslips.”
Lawrence Knowles, managing director of MidlandHR, comments: “Midlands’s iTrent solution is the only complete, web-enabled solution; it is a single product that doesn’t require integration with an existing system and this has meant NCH can build for its future development on a solid foundation.”
