Changes at the top for MidlandHR

Lawrence Knowles appointed Vice Chairman and Iain Moffat becomes Managing Director.
MidlandHR today announced the appointment of Lawrence Knowles as Vice Chairman, with executive responsibility for research and development, focused on further development and expansion of MidlandHR’s highly successful HR, payroll, talent management and workforce planning solutions.
Knowles will step up from his current position as Managing Director on 1 September, when Iain Moffat who is currently MidlandHR’s Service Director, will take over as Managing Director.
These new appointments are the latest in a series of promotions for Knowles and Moffat, both of whom have had long-term careers at MidlandHR. Knowles has been with the company for more than 20 years during which he has progressed from first job as Systems Architect to Group Research Director and Software Director, culminating in the last nine years as Managing Director.
Moffat has spent 12 years with MidlandHR, initially as Senior Technical Consultant followed by a number of pre-sales and business consultancy positions before becoming General Manager (Asia Pacific). He was promoted to Service Director in 2008.
